I open a lot of boxes. Often I find myself switching between a standard utility blade and a hooked one. This device hold both blades and allows you to deploy either one. Over all, a pretty neat solution and to be fair, I'm carrying it every day. Having said that, I do have a few "issues".First, it's bulkier and heavier than I expected. I've been carrying a folding Swisstool utility knife and it is WAAY smaller and lighter. To be fair though, it doesn't have the dual blade feature.Secondly, deploying the second blade (and replacement blades) can be challenging without modifications. If you look at the blade provided with the Tako, there is a laser etched finger print on one side. That provides traction for your thumb to push the blade out. Normal blades don't have this, so your thumb tends to slip when trying to deploy a second blade. My solution was to use a cut-off disk on my Dremel tool and mark up the blade. Ghetto, but it works. By the way, the provided blade is only etched on one side, so when it dulls, you'd be faced with the same issue.All in all, it's well made and very sturdy. Feels pretty good in your hands and there are no hot spots. It's a clever device, but I'm still deciding if the extra blade is worth all the weight.

    This is a well built tool, and IMO, a good idea executed pretty well. While it does suffer a bit from the Jack of all trades, master of none thing that you usually run into with multi use tools, this one does all of them pretty good. After a couple tries, extending and retracting the blade becomes smooth and easy, and the little groove that will hold a blade to be used as a scraper can be handy as well. If it had a more secure way to lock the blade in the scraping position, I would give it 5 stars. As it is, the scraper works OK for light duty use, and the utility knife part of it works very well. The design is simple, yet very strong ( a perfect example of 'less is more'). What I think is the best feature of the knife is the ability to hold 2 different blades at the same time, with either available at a moment's notice, just by which blade you choose to extend. Makes it easy to have 2 different styles of blades at the ready, or to have a new edge for precision work ready to go without having to remove a blade that isn't 'new' but is far from ready to be tossed. The pocket clip is nice, has just the right tension for a knife this size/weight. Holds it securely, yet easy to get. The handle is rather large, making this more a full size utility knife than a compact one. However, it is also very thin, so thin you barely notice it's still in your pocket.

    I carry a dual blade utility knife daily at work and always had the big bulky craftsman one. My helper lost that knife, so I bought this one after seeing it on Amazon. I expected the function of puting the blade in and out to hang up and not work that smooth, but it’s so natural and easy to do one handed and extremely slim. I’ve used the knife for several months every day, and after owning it I even carry it out of work as an edc. It’s no self defense knife, but useful for just about any other situation (besides, that’s what the MP9 is for)
