Product Review NexTool Flagship Mini This is a key chain size mini multi-tool made by NexTool. Made in China. It is in the size category of Leathermen Squirt and Gerber Shortcut. I ordered this from Amazon to put it in a pocket pack EDC (Every Day Carry) kit. When it arrived, as soon as I opened the pliers a plate flew off and made the handle of the pliers go limp. It was returned for a replacement. Pictured in this review is the replacement. The metal seems of good quality. The blade and scissors are very sharp. Both blade and scissors cut very well. I used the pliers to pinch and hold various items and it did a fair job. The wire cutter on the pliers could NOT cut through a wire from a ceiling fan. The plier's wire cutter is only good for cutting bread tie thick wires. I opened a can of Ravioli and it took every bit of 4 minutes to do it. The fact that it did open the can will give it a Better Than Nothing award. Any medium to heavy use will break this tool. This tool is only recommended for opening letters, boxes, prying and screwing small electronic or doing fine delicate work not requiring force. It does not inspire confidence as a leatherman Squirt or even the Gerber Shortcut does. The blade however is sharper than the Gerber's. Pros: Very sharp blade and scissors. Good design. Cons: Lacks strength and durability. Cost as much as the competition but quality of build not as good. Conclusion: As a "key chain" tool, it does not exceed any expectations nor does it inspire any confidence. It is not worth the price. I cannot recommend this tool to be used in any level of a EDC. UPDATE: Above review was written after my experience with the first one that arrived and broke as soon as I tried to open the pliers. So far the replacement has not broken. I have been using it to cut paracord to make paracord bracelets and to pinch hold the ends while I melt the ends with my lighter. I have also used it to open boxes and at least one can. I carry it as pictured above...... Although it still feels a bit fragile, It has served me well so far.

Using pliers will feel cumbersome and bulky compared to most muti-tools on the market.

    Overall : This is the best adjustable wrench multi-tool on the market and its dirt cheap compared to Leatherman,Gerber,Swiss Tool and the rest.It works good and I highly recomend it.If your looking for an adjustable wrench multi tool this is definitely the multi-tool for you.

    I have been a long-term fan of this brand's flashlight (which served me well in my winter alaska trip last year). I recently bought this multitool and I'm absolute satisfied with its design.

    In particular, this is one of a few options (if not the only) on the market where you get both big scissor and lock blade in one tool. Surely many dedicated pocket knives outperform the main blade on this one and many fancier multitools have big scissors. However they all have their trade-offs: either those pocket knives lack scissor, or those multitools are too heavy to carry as edc.

    This multitool is the one, IMHO, that balances between trade-offs the best: it is compact, sturdy, and functional.

    However, I personally do not recommend using the main blade in heavy duty scenarios: even though there is a lock, it does not necessarily secure its position under external impact, see the second picture (I haven't tested myself).

    For a pocket keychain mutitool this one is great! If you use it as intended and not to rebuild an engine or build a house you'll really like this tool. The knife comes VERY sharp, the pliers are smooth at the tip so delicate items aren't damage when you grip them. The scissors are the star of this tool.     Sturdy item well Built a little thicker than my other multi tools but the added versatility and usefulness of the crescent wrench is well worth it . The knife doesn’t have a locking mechanism but it’s ok it is a sturdy blade by itself the small saw will probably get switched out with some other sort of tool that I will use more often . The bits for the 1/4” bit holder have a ball detent in them so they are tool specific for this tool to help hold retention in the bit holder area on the tool . The pliers are very well built equal to other higher priced multi tools I own . It has a very nice and smooth satin finish . A nice surprise was the added areas to use the 1/4” bits for a more versatile and torque needing usefulness. All in all I’m very pleased and have been using this multi tool for the past week in place of my leatherman .

    Ordered November 30, 2020, broke January 21, 2021. As it as been noted on previous reviews the spring piece that allows the pliers to open and close broke. It is a nice size with good functionality, however for the cost the materials should be of higher quality. Fortunately, I still have time to return it.
